English Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of a cutthroat high-tech innovation corridor, Astray follows Li Ou (Leo), the disciplined and tech-savvy founder and CEO of smart hardware startup Oushuo Technology. Seeking a rare moment of respite on a summer Friday night, he steps into the bustling Owl Bar, intending to unwind under an assumed identity (“Long Island Technology”). There, he crosses paths with Xin Yi, an alluring executive from his arch-rival Dingsheng Smart Technology, while catching glimpses of a distressed young woman who leaves behind a peculiar deep-blue luminescent gemstone bracelet.
Moments later on a bridge over the swollen city river, the evening takes a harrowing turn when the young woman plunges into the torrential currents. Leaping into action, Li Ou orchestrates a desperate riverbank rescue and dives into the freezing depths—only to be struck by a staggering revelation upon pulling her to shore: “How could it be her!? Why!?”
Interweaving realistic corporate espionage, tech rivalry, urban romance, and psychological suspense, Astray explores the unseen fault lines of ambition, love, and moral redemption in a hyper-accelerating society.
